Important legal notice
This is an operational policy template for TYLERROSSUSA Task and should be reviewed by an attorney before the marketplace processes real customer money at scale.
1. Platform role
TYLERROSSUSA Task is a marketplace that helps customers find, message, book, and pay independent service providers. Unless TYLERROSSUSA is clearly listed as the provider for a specific job, TYLERROSSUSA is not the contractor performing the work and does not employ or supervise independent providers.
2. Account eligibility
You must provide accurate account, contact, project, billing, and business information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping login credentials secure.
3. Customers and project requests
Customers are responsible for describing the requested work accurately, confirming scope, access, location, timing, permits, and budget expectations before hiring or paying a provider.
4. Providers
Providers are independent businesses responsible for their own licenses, permits, insurance, taxes, staff, tools, safety practices, workmanship, warranties, and legal compliance. Provider approval, badges, reviews, or ranking do not guarantee a provider's work or background.
5. Quotes, bookings, and messages
Quotes, booking requests, messages, timelines, and project status updates must be truthful and professional. Material changes to scope, price, timing, or materials should be confirmed in writing through the platform when possible.
6. Payments and fees
Payments are processed through TYLERROSSUSA Task and Stripe. The platform may collect deposits, full payments, service fees, provider fees, payment processing fees, taxes, and payout adjustments. Current fees are shown during checkout, in provider tools, or in billing settings where available.
7. Off-platform payments
Users may not use TYLERROSSUSA Task to discover or communicate with a customer or provider and then avoid platform payments or fees for the same project. TYLERROSSUSA may limit, suspend, or close accounts that attempt to bypass marketplace protections.
8. Reviews and reports
Reviews, ratings, reports, and dispute evidence must be honest and based on real experiences. TYLERROSSUSA may remove abusive, fake, illegal, private, or irrelevant content.
9. Prohibited conduct
Users may not post illegal services, harass others, misuse personal data, impersonate another person, upload malicious files, scrape the service, interfere with payments, threaten chargebacks in bad faith, or use the platform for unsafe or deceptive activity.
10. No guarantee
TYLERROSSUSA Task works to improve trust, but does not guarantee that a provider will be available, qualified, licensed, insured, safe, or satisfactory for every project. Customers should perform their own due diligence before hiring.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, TYLERROSSUSA is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for provider workmanship, property damage, injuries, missed appointments, or user disputes outside TYLERROSSUSA's direct control.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify TYLERROSSUSA from claims, losses, damages, fees, and expenses arising from your use of the marketplace, your project, your services, your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Maine, unless another law applies by statute. Venue for disputes will be in the state or federal courts serving York County, Maine, unless a different venue is legally required.
